Injective
A Layer 1 purpose-built for markets.
The signal.
Injective treated exchange infrastructure as a shared network primitive. Builders could focus on the financial product rather than rebuilding matching and liquidity infrastructure for every interface.
An interoperable blockchain for financial applications with on-chain orderbook infrastructure and reusable modules for spot and derivatives markets.
Most decentralized exchanges began as applications deployed on a general-purpose chain. Injective moved important market machinery into the chain itself, including an on-chain orderbook and financial modules that multiple applications can share.
The attraction is composability at the market-infrastructure level. A new interface can plug into shared liquidity and use network primitives instead of recreating an exchange from scratch.
The risk is equally clear: specializing a chain around finance concentrates the product thesis. Injective has to win the builders and traders for whom that specialization matters.
Where it stands.
